Hungary's Melinda Czink beat the Czech Republic's Lucie Safarova 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 Sunday to win the singles title at the Bell Challenge WTA tennis tournament.

It was Czink's first career singles title on the WTA Tour.

After fourth seed Safarova won the first set, No. 5 Czink requested to see her coach. That seemed to work as Czink came back strong to force a third set.

Czink earned the victory after a 54-minute back-and-forth third set.

In the doubles final, American Vania King and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova of the Czech Republic defeated Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden and Severine Bremond-Beltrame of France 6-1, 6-3.
