Nestor and Mimyi advance to Swiss Indoors final

Canadian Daniel Nestor and partner Max Mirnyi reached their third doubles final in as many events on Saturday with a 6-2, 6-2 defeat of veterans Xavier Malisse and Dick Norman at the Swiss Indoors.

Malisse and Norman were playing together for the first time since 2007, when they won the Chennai title in India while combining on an ad hoc basis.

The Belgians were no match for the polished attack of Toronto's Nestor and Mirnyi from Belarus.

"It's great to get to another final," said Nestor as his team took aim at a fourth trophy this season. "Max and I are lifting our game at the end of the season. We've worked out some problems and it's looking good for us."

The No. 2 team of Nestor and Mirnyi will face off against the top-seeded pair of Michael Llodra and Nenad Zimonjic, Nestor's former partner.

Mirnyi-Nestor currently stand 3-2 in 2011 finals. They won titles at Memphis, the French Open and in the Shanghai Masters.

The winning team spent just 53 minutes on court at the St Jakobshalle, where Nestor won the 2009 crown with Zimonjic and claimed the honours in 2003 and 2006 with Mark Knowles of the Bahamas.

Nestor and Mirnyi fired seven combined aces for what turned into a rout, breaking four times while never facing a break point against their serves.

The Canadian's team has a long history with their upcoming opponents, last beating Llodra and Zimonjic for the Shanghai title three weeks ago.

Nestor's team also won their meeting in the French Open semis while losing to Llodra and Zimonjic in a Rogers Cup semifinal in Montreal and the Rome quarter-finals on clay in May.
