Rachel Homan continued her undefeated run through the Rogers Masters Grand Slam of Curling.

The Ottawa skip defeated Tracy Horgan of Sudbury, Ont., 6-2 on Saturday to advance to the semi-finals.

Homan, who finished 5-0 in the round robin, will play Eve Muirhead in the next round after the Scot cruised past Calgary's Shannon Kleibrink 7-2.

The other women's semi will feature Winnipeg's Chelsea Carey against Silvana Tirinzoni of Switerland. Carey shut out Heather Strong of St. John's, N.L., 4-0 while Tirinzoni edged Sherry Middaugh of Coldwater, Ont., 6-5.

On the men's side, Brad Jacobs of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., was stunned by qualifier Steve Laycock of Saskatoon 4-1 in their quarter-final match.

Jacobs had gone undefeated in the round robin before running into Laycock, who will face Jim Cotter of Kelowna, B.C.

Cotter advanced past Winnipeg's Mike McEwen 6-3.

The other semi will feature Edmonton's Kevin Martin against Calgary's Kevin Koe.

Martin moved on with a 5-3 win over Winnipeg's Jeff Stoughton, while Koe held off Toronto's Mark Bice.
