@WeaversWaves parodies Weaver’s long blonde locks that fall almost to her waist, profiling itself as “Weavers Waves – Behind every majestic mane is an even more regal updo.

Canada's Kaitlyn Weaver knew she'd truly made it when her hair got its own Twitter account.

Weaver and ice dance partner Andrew Poje have both attracted the attention of the Twittersphere this season, as much for their healthy heads of hair as their elegant skating.

"It's kind of funny to wake up in the morning and see what kind of witty little remarks that have been tweeted," Poje told the Olympic News Service.

@PojesMane calls itself the "Official twitter account for the most majestic thing in figure skating."

"At national (championships last month), the result system was down and no one around the country could see the results live on the computer," Poje said. "So people were following @PojesMane because it was the only thing that was tweeting the results."

"It's so much fun," added Weaver, who recovered from a broken ankle last season to finish fifth with Poje at the world championships.

The Canadian tresses aren't the only ones with spoof Twitter accounts. There's @2014ponypower dedicated to ponytailed American skater Jason Brown, and @CharliesCurls – "That curly mop of blonde perfection" – on American ice dancer Charlie White.

"It's something that I came across one day. I have no clue who runs it," Brown told the Olympic News Service. "It's so exciting because the ponytail has definitely shaped me to becoming who I am. So it's really cool people enjoy it and people like that trademark."

Other offbeat figure skating accounts:

@trankovspants – Part of Russian pairs skater Maxim Trankov's costume this season is a pair of tight, bright yellow pants. The Twitter account even poked fun at Canada's Patrick Chan in November, tweeting: "Think how much more you could score (at)Pchiddy if you wore yellow pants!"

@HanyusPooh – Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu has a Winnie the Pooh Kleenex box cover, and carries it with him when he competes. Pooh often gets facetime on TV in the kiss-and-cry or rinkside with Hanyu's coach Brian Orser. The account has over 1,500 followers and calls itself "Best buddy to one of the World's greatest skaters!"

One hairdo that is crying out for a Twitter account belongs to Canada's Kevin Reynolds. The purposefully-messy red mop has garnered plenty of attention on Twitter.

Canadian pairs skater Eric Radford tweeted a picture of himself with his hair standing straight up, Reynolds-style, and wrote "Hair inspired by Kevin Reynolds! #hairspiration #defygravity."
