Canadians Hilary Stellingwerff and Nicole Sifuentes failed to qualify for the final of the women's 1,500m in London.
Stellingwerff came 6th in her heat in 4:05.57, not far off her best time of 4:05.08 set earlier this season.
"It was tough because I was boxed in and just trying to stay patient and not have to go around four people," said Stellingwerff. She managed to find an opening and pass four others, but it was too late. "It's a bummer."
