Stephen Harper put up a valiant effort, but he was no match for Mo Zhang.

The Prime Minister managed some impressive returns, but he was playing one of four members of Canada's Olympic table tennis team.

Table Tennis Canada nominated Zhang, Andre Ho, Pierre-Luc Hinse and Eugene Wang — who just received his Canadian citizenship — to its team for next month's London Games.

The team was introduced Tuesday at Canada House in the British capital.

Canada House, just steps from Buckingham Palace, will give the families of Canadian athletes a place to socialize and relax during the Olympics.

The Prime M inister, an avid table tennis player, took on Zhang before the announcement.
