Toronto FC star Jermain Defoe will miss the Major League Soccer all-star game next week with an injury.

Defoe, who was replaced on the MLS all-star team by Sporting Kansas City forward Dom Dwyer on Sunday, sat out Toronto's game against the Impact in Montreal on Saturday.

The MLS all-stars will play reigning German Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich in Portland on Wednesday.

TFC midfielder Michael Bradley, who was voted to the team by fans last month, will represent Toronto at the game.
