Camilo scored early as the Vancouver Whitecaps beat Toronto FC 1-0 to win the all-Canadian championship final of the Disney Pro Soccer Classic on Saturday.

Camilo scored in the 10th minute after deking around goalkeeper Quillan Roberts and firing a shot from a tight angle into the Toronto net.

The tournament should provide good momentum for Vancouver ahead of the MLS season. The Whitecaps went a perfect 3-0 in the round robin and outscored their opponents 8-0.

A CONCACAF Champions League game against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Wednesday meant Toronto used mostly backups instead of starting players.

Eric Avila and Nick Soolsma were the only regular TFC players to participate, and the team was directed without head coach Aron Winter.

Efrain Burgos provided Toronto's best chance in the 62nd minute but was denied by Whitecaps goalkeeper Joe Cannon.

Despite the loss, Toronto had to feel good about the scoreline considering Vancouver was playing with a lineup made up mostly of starters.

Cannon came up big with a save on Toronto's Keith Makubuya in the 44th minute after a lapse by the Whitecaps back line allowed Makubuya through.

Earlier, Brek Shea scored in the ninth minute on a penalty kick to give FC Dallas a 1-0 win over the Houston Dynamo in the third-place game.
