2000 The Discovery Channel runs 3-D Shark Week.

2004 The Polar Express, Imax's first full-length 3-D feature, is released for Christmas.

2007 The NBA and Turner Broadcasting air the all-star game in 3-D at select movie theatres.

2009 Avatar hits the big screen for the holiday season.

2011 Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson to release 3-D version of the comic strip Tintin.
