ST. JOHN'S, Newfoundland, June 8 - The Newfoundland government is co-sponsoring an on-line display of artwork by Newfoundland and Labrador artist Christopher Pratt. Drawing From Memory: the Art and Life of Christopher Pratt, features 209 of the artist's works, as well as information about his life. The site, at http://collections.ic.gc.ca/pratt, has been created as an educational resource by a team of six young Newfoundlanders working under the direction of the Art Gallery of Newfoundland and Labrador. The project was co-sponsored by Canada's Digital Collections, an Industry Canada program; the Art Gallery of Newfoundland and Labrador (AGNL); the Canada Council for the Arts; and Memorial University of Newfoundland's Virtual Design Centre.
