As the sun rises over Cupertino, California today, thousands -- nay millions -- of Apple fans, gadget hounds and naysayers awaken with one thought in mind: It's tablet day.

Second only to that other guy who stood on high holding a couple tablets (you know, the one with the Ten Commandments), today Apple CEO Steve Jobs is expected to unveil the most highly anticipated (and hyped) electronic device ever. Today, the rumours stop being rumours and the analysts and pundits begin detailing, in earnest, how this one device will have an impact on our lives.

We lined up several Globe staffers, including Western/Ryerson online journalism prof. Wayne MacPhail, Globe Books online Editor Peter Scowen and Telecom Reporter Iain Marlow, to provide a wide range of analysis.
