Research In Motion Inc. announced early Monday that the BlackBerry Client app is now available for Microsoft SharePoint.

In a statement, RIM says its BlackBerry Client app offers an integrated mobile experience for users together with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Among other things, the app allows for content searches across multiple SharePoint sites from a BlackBerry smartphone.

RIM also announced separately Monday a new agreement that enables wholesale technology product distributor Tech Data Corp. to distribute BlackBerry devices, software and technical support services to its channel of more than 60,000 value-added resellers in the United States.

RIM's agreement with Tech Data allows the company to support the end-to-end sale of BlackBerry solutions for small to mid-sized businesses through Tech Data's new TDMobility offering.

BlackBerry device distribution and activation are also offered starting Monday through TDMobility for select partners, with general availability planned for later this year.
